Gladys Gordon

Gladys Gordon
Gladys Gordon will be remembered as loyal, strong-willed and fiercely intelligent. Her son, Mark, remembers that when it came to family matters, she was always there and a pillar of strength.

Gladys and her husband, Myles, also were very devoted to the Jewish community. They were Golden Givers, donating to the Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago for 50 years.

Her deep appreciation for the Jewish community started at a young age. Gladys's family played a key role in building the first Jewish cemetery in Skokie. Her parents helped Jewish immigrants through the bank they owned on Ashland and Roosevelt Avenue until the bank closed during the Depression.

Gladys's memory will live on through her family and friends.
