Sadie Berkson

Sadie Berkson will be remembered as a cherished friend and a generous benefactor of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago. She was very active in the Jewish community, serving as a member of the board of directors of the Jewish Federation and JUF Women's Division. She was both a Lion of Judah and a member of JUF's Silver Circle. Sadie also was very involved with many other charities in the Chicago area.

Sadie's husband, I.J. Berkson, who practiced law for over 50 years, passed away in 1982. Sadie kept his vision and memory alive through her charity work until she passed away in February 2006.
